What the app stores, and where

Audio recordings, transcripts, people, summaries, commitments, actions, facts and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone. If you turn on voice recognition, the voice profiles it learns are stored on that iPhone too. Recordings made on Apple Watch stay on the Watch until they have been copied to your iPhone and checked, and are then deleted from the Watch.

API keys and the Notion token are stored in the iOS Keychain on this device only. iCloud backup of your iPhone may include the app's data, depending on your iPhone settings.

What leaves your device, and only when you choose it

• Your own AI provider (optional). If you add your own API key for Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Alibaba Cloud (Qwen) or Moonshot (Kimi), the app sends the transcript text of a conversation you choose to that provider, after showing you the exact request and asking you to confirm. E-mail addresses and long numbers are removed first. Audio is never sent. The provider processes the text under your agreement with them, in the country shown in the app: the United States for Anthropic and OpenAI; mainland China or Singapore for DeepSeek, Qwen and Kimi, depending on the option you choose.
• Notion (optional, Saidkept Pro). If you connect Notion, the app sends the confirmed summary and items of a conversation you choose to your Notion workspace, after showing you the request. If you turn on “Send automatically after I confirm”, each conversation is sent as soon as you confirm it, without that preview. Audio, transcripts and contact details are never sent. When you tap “Connect Notion”, Notion sends a one-time sign-in code to saidkept.com, which exchanges it with Notion for a key and passes the key to the app. saidkept.com stores and logs nothing; afterwards the app talks to Notion directly. The key is kept in the iOS Keychain on your iPhone.
• Speech and voice models (optional). If you choose the more accurate Whisper transcription model or turn on voice recognition, the app downloads the model files from Hugging Face. The download contains none of your data, though, like any web request, it shows Hugging Face your IP address.
• Exports. When you export, share, or add an event to your calendar, the data goes where you send it.

Purchases

Saidkept Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we do not receive your payment details.

Contacts

You can link a person to a contact with the system picker. The app stores the contact's identifier and the name fields you choose to copy into the person. It reads your contacts only when you tap "Check linked contacts", and only the contacts you linked. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses are not copied unless you turn that on.

Diagnostics

iOS may give the app daily performance and crash reports (MetricKit). They stay on your iPhone and contain no audio, text or names. They leave the device only if you share them.

Tracking and advertising

None. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.

Recording other people

You are responsible for getting the agreement of everyone you record, as the law where you are may require. The app asks you to confirm this before every recording.

Your control

In Settings › Your data you can export all your data or delete all data on your iPhone. You can also delete a single person or conversation, and delete a time range of a recording. Deleting the app also deletes its data on that device.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, or under the age required where you live.

This website

saidkept.com uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from other websites. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
